LIVE NOW: Senate Votes on DNI Nominee Jay Clayton

The U.S. Senate is due to begin voting on the nomination of Manhattan ​U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton to be director of national intelligence at 5.30 p.m. ET on Monday. If Clayton wins a majority in the 100-member Senate on the procedural vote, a final confirmation vote is expected later in the week. If approved as director of national intelligence, Clayton would fill a role vacated in June when Tulsi Gabbard stepped down.
