The 1 Question That Predicts How Long You’ll Live
Scientists asked more than 40,000 adults a very simple, straightforward yes-or-no question about their lives. Seven years later, those who answered “no” were about 50 percent more likely to have passed away.
The question wasn’t about diet or exercise. It was about happiness, though a type of happiness that most people wouldn’t think of.
More than 2,000 years ago, two Greek philosophers gave opposite answers to what happiness is, but there was no way to test which of them was right. In the last few decades, researchers have figured out how, using gene activity in immune cells and decades of mortality data, revealing that one of the philosophers had a better answer.
By the end of the video, you will know which type of happiness to pursue and why it’s better for your body.
