8th NTD International Piano Competition Semifinals

NTD’s 8th International Piano Competition will be held in New York City from Sept. 2 to Sept. 5.

In the three days of competition, winners will be selected in a total of six award categories.

The International Piano Competition is part of a series of international cultural and arts events sponsored by NTD Television Network. The mission of this competition is to promote traditional arts.

In addition to piano pieces from the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic periods, the competition features a special commissioned composition rearranged from one of the vocal pieces composed by the artistic director of Shen Yun Performing Arts.

This year’s commissioned piece, “Divine’s Calling,” a symphonic poem, blends the essence of both Eastern and Western classical music, interpreting a profound sense of the divine.

Semifinal contestants will have a chance to compete for the “Best Rendition Award of the Commissioned Composition.”

The semifinals, finals, and winners’ concert will be open to audience members and livestreamed on NTD’s and The Epoch Times’ websites and social media channels.

Competition Schedule:

Semifinals: 10:45 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. ET, Sept. 4

Finals: 10:15 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. ET, Sept. 5

Winners’ Concert: 5:30 p.m. ET, Sept. 5

Awards Ceremony: 6:30 p.m. ET, Sept. 5.
