A UN Special Agency Is Behind the Increase in Palestinian Refugee Numbers: Karys Rhea

President Joe Biden is now working to get $100 million in funding for humanitarian aid in Gaza. As the war between Israel and Hamas continues, there’s a push by members of Congress for the United States to accept Palestinian refugees. And with all of this, the United Nations could play a key role: It has an agency dedicated to working with Palestinians—including assisting them in becoming refugees. This is the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, or UNRWA. And this agency has run into plenty of controversy over the years.
