Doctor Shares Why His Patients Don’t Have Heart Attacks | Expert Talk with Dana Churchill, ND

Cardiovascular disease has been the leading cause of death in America for many decades. This is due to insufficient measures to prevent them, says Mr. Dana Churchill, a naturopathic doctor, nutritionist, and medical director of The Churchill Center. He suggests more in-depth blood work is needed.

“You’re only getting two pages of labs from most checkups. So in my clinic, we’re getting ten pages of labs,” said Mr. Churchill.

He believes that a proper diet rich in fats is key to keeping the heart working. He recommends including healthy fats such as coconut oil, olive oil, flaxseed oil, and fish oil.

“Fish oil makes everything so much smoother in the heart and things flow much more easily,” said Mr. Churchill.

Mr. Churchill also advises his patients not to be afraid of cholesterol.

“Nobody from my patients ever got a heart attack. … They felt great. They felt so energized from doing more fats because fats have 50 percent more energy when they break down metabolically, and they have 50 percent less oxidation,” said Mr. Churchill.

He also recommends increasing physical activity and using specific supplements to support the cardiovascular system.
