Spending Agreement Falls Through as Government Shutdown Looms: Mark Tapscott

Congress has until Sept. 30 to come out with some type of spending agreement—otherwise, the government will shut down. It looked like they had a working stopgap agreement, but that just fell through. Several conservatives opposed it, and now it’s back to the drawing board. On the table could be everything from funding for the special counsel investigating former President Donald Trump, to money for Ukraine.
