Subpoenas to Former Biden Admin Staff Over Government Censorship Announced at House Hearing

At a hearing held by the House Judiciary Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government on Thursday, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) accused the Biden administration of coercing social media companies to censor posts in his opening statements, and claimed that such actions are “one of the most egregious forms of the weaponization” of the federal government.

Mr. Jordan also announced that the subcommittee will subpoena two former White House staff, Rob Flaherty and Andy Slavitt, for their role in the coercions.

Mr. Flaherty had been the White House director of Digital Strategy in the Biden administration; he is now helping run President Joe Biden’s 2024 reelection campaign as a deputy campaign manager.

Mr. Slavitt had been the COVID-19 adviser in the administration.
