Trump: Montana to Get Pentagon’s New ‘Super Range’ for Weapons Testing; US Producer Inflation Posts Sharpest Monthly Gain Since 2022
President Donald Trump unveiled on Wednesday that the Department of War has chosen Montana to host its new weapons testing site at an undisclosed location.
“Montana will help ensure the American military always reigns supreme,” Trump said during a GOP midterm campaign rally at the Majestic Valley Arena.
He described the new site as a “super range for testing advanced weapons and technologies, including potential autonomous weapons, space and electronic warfare technology, supersonics, and hypersonics.”
U.S. producer inflation posted its sharpest monthly increase since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in March 2022, new government data show. September’s producer price index rose 1.3 percent, from an upwardly revised 0.5 percent in August, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
