‘Cheap Labor’ Behind Calls for US to Accept Palestinian Refugees: Lee Smith

The United States has pledged to back Israel as its ground offensive against Hamas begins. Yet at the same time, the Biden administration is saying it will launch a humanitarian mission to provide food, water, and medicine to civilians in Gaza. A big question remains, however: If people want to flee the warzone, where will they go? King Abdullah II of Jordan gave a speech where he said accepting refugees will be his “red line.” Yet there are calls in the United States to bring those Palestinian refugees here. It was mainly Democrats at first, but similar calls are also coming from Republicans. Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley suggested her support for the move during an interview with CNN.
