The latter three have already banned Huawei from their 5G networks. The U.K.’s BT Group, one of the largest telecom companies in the country, has rejected using Huawei in its 5G network.

Other senators also expressed that they supported U.S. sanctions on Huawei.

Earlier this year, neighboring Australia banned Huawei from supplying 5G equipment, also citing security risks.

The Chinese regime also has targeted Canada since the arrest of Meng, the chief financial officer and "heiress" of Huawei.

They have banned Huawei and ZTE from their 5G networks, and have warned other nations against using Huawei technology.

However, U.S. officials have continued to warn Americans not to use Huawei phones.
