Three people are dead, and 15 are injured following a blast near a cafe in Moscow, the Russian Ministry of Interior said on Aug. 1.
The blast occurred around 8:10 p.m. local time, an Interior Ministry official told the state-run TASS news agency. The incident occurred near the Kudrinskaya Square Building, a Stalin-era skyscraper and prominent tourist attraction in the Russian capital.
“An inspection of the site is currently underway,” the Interior Ministry official said.
Emergency responders are continuing to assess people for injuries.
The cause of the blast was not immediately clear.
