The BC Conservatives have removed their candidate in the Vancouver-Strathcona riding after the NDP publicized social media posts he allegedly made about Adolf Hitler and the Holocaust—the second such removal in this election.

The party announced on social media on Oct. 15 that Jordan Zheng McIntosh is no longer a Conservative candidate and that he would not sit in caucus if elected.

The Epoch Times contacted McIntosh for comment but did not receive a response.

The Conservatives announced his removal from the election slate less than an hour after BC NDP candidate Callista Ryan, running in the Vancouver-Quilchena riding, posted screenshots online that she said showed McIntosh’s posts.

One undated post under the name “DeathNight” said Hitler “may have not [intended] death” during the Holocaust, and that “lots of jews died” not because Hitler “hated them specifically” but because there were so many of them.

In another post, she said, “I’m a young candidate running for the second time, I know how hard it is and I completely understand that people make mistakes. But Jordan McIntosh posted and reposted the N-word over 40 times in the last year—that’s a lot of mistakes.”

McIntosh’s removal comes after interim Conservative Leader Lorne Doerkson said in the leaders’ debate on Oct. 14 that he would “stand against hate” and raised concerns about what he called “anti-Semitic behaviour” within the NDP caucus.

Doerkson offered those comments after NDP Leader David Eby asked him during a debate whether he tolerated “hateful” views. Eby also said that online posts about Islam by Conservative campaign director Katy Merrifield were “like the worst corners of the dark web.”

Doerkson countered by asking Eby if “anti-Semitic behaviour in your caucus qualified as hate or not,” referencing former NDP MLA Selina Robinson, who is Jewish and accused her former caucus of being indifferent toward anti-Semitism.

McIntosh’s ejection comes a week after the BC Conservatives ejected Joachim Agou for online comments he had made.

On Oct. 8, BC NDP candidate Amna Shah highlighted several social media posts from 2024 and 2025 that Agou allegedly made. Doerkson expelled Agou as a candidate shortly afterward.

Agou’s alleged posts include a meme using an expletive about Pakistan, several positive emojis in response to a post in support of conservative leaders by right-wing Italian politician Matteo Salvini, and a comment on a post about a driver who rammed a crowd of pro-Palestinian protesters in Switzerland in September 2025 that the driver “should have reversed too!!!”

Agou issued a statement the next day saying he was “truly sorry” for his comments, and while he took responsibility for his words, he rejected NDP claims that his posts were racist.

In a social media post on Oct. 9, he said he should have expressed himself “more clearly and calmly,” adding that demonstrations “should not bring a city to a standstill or put lives at risk.”
