Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang, introduced “wartime” measures after Xinjiang reported new cases of the CCP virus in mid-July. Although the authorities kept silent on the details of the new outbreak, the Chinese-language Epoch Times was able to verify that several new cases originated from a large-scale wedding banquet on July 5.
