
Cooper, Diamond, and gravelly-voiced singer Tom Waits were the biggest names to be brought into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame. Also included were singer and musician Dr. John as well as singer Darlene Love.
Record executive Jac Holzman, who signed legendary bands such as The Doors and Queen, was similarly inducted, as was recording expert Leon Russell.
Cooper was inducted by Rob Zombie, while Neil Diamond was inducted by singer-songwriter Paul Simon. Waits received honors from fellow hall-of-fame inductee Neil Young.
The 26th annual ceremony was held on Monday, March 14, 2011, at the Waldorf-Astoria hotel in New York City.
The event will be broadcast exclusively on Fuse, Madison Square Garden’s national music television network, on Sunday March 20 at 9 p.m. EST.
