YUANLIN, Taiwan—Ms. Hong Lina, a councilwoman of Changhua County watched the Shen Yun Performing Arts show in Yuanlin Township on the evening of March 24.

She said, “Our traditional Chinese culture is very broad and profound. Shen Yun’s artistic performance pleasantly surprises me with world class quality. I think more shows should be arranged in Changhua County.”

Ms. Hong pointed out that since the performance was conducted by a well-recognized artistic group, the tickets were sold out and, unfortunately, there were people still seeking tickets outside the Yuanlin Performance Hall, but in vain. “I hope more tours of Shen Yun can be arranged in Changhua County. You can see that the first show today is fully seated.”

Not until the morning of March 24 did Ms. Hong know that two extra shows would be staged in Yuanlin Township: “In the beginning, I suspected the seats would be all taken. The tickets of the two additional shows sold so well within such a short time. Shen Yun's performance is really charming.”

Ms. Hong said that she likes the programs The Poet’s Vision, Dance of the Snow-Capped Mountain, and Dance of the Yi the most. She added that the Tibetan young males depicted in Dance of the Snow-Capped Mountain were unadorned and energetic.

On the other hand, Dance of the Yi illustrated the young women of the Yi nationality, who lived in the so-called “Homeland of the Cloud” of southwestern China. Wearing colorful silk skirts, the performers looked as pure as flowers. When they danced, they looked as though they were divine fairies. This program fully revealed the charms of female beauties—tenderness and loveliness.

She added, “Shen Yun’s performance is quite different from regular folk performances. It catches your eyes and impresses you.” Commenting on Shen Yun’s costumes, dances and songs, Ms. Hong said, “They are all superb. We seldom see such a nice performance here. Thanks to Shen Yun’s great creation.”
