YUANLIN, Taiwan—The 38th show of Shen Yun Performing Arts 2009 World Tour in Taiwan was brought to the stage at the Yuanlin Performing Hall of Changhua County’s Cultural Affairs Bureau on March 24, with the participation of public figures from various communities and circles. As the show started, the audience paid close attention to the exquisite, world-class performance delivered by Shen Yun. Art collectors were of no exception—they also wanted to take advantage of this opportunity to watch Shen Yun’s artistic performance.
Mr. Wang Huixiong, chairman of the Dunhuang Grottoes Fine Arts Center, commented on Shen Yun’s performance. “Yuanlin Township is not a major city in Taiwan. However, the local audience can see Shen Yun’s performance without travelling afar. This is really great!” he said.
Mr. Wang, an expert with solid understanding about works of art, saw Shen Yun's performance for the second time. He said, “Every piece of the program is magnificent.” He also highly praised the perfect integration between the dances and backdrops.
He said, “I like every piece of the program. The dances are just superb. They touch my heart. I think part of the reason is that Shen Yun’s performance is related to Buddhist art.” As the chairman of Dunhuang Grottoes Find Arts Center, it should not be a surprise that Mr. Wang came to watch the show for the second time. Mr. Wang lives in Puli Township, Nantao County. He travelled to Taipei for his first Shen Yun show two years ago.
Regarding the costume design, Mr. Wang said, “The choreographer would also have a very good understanding of costume design. Otherwise such a wonderful integration between costume and dancing performance wouldn’t be possible.”
Mr. Wang indicated that he would recommend his fellow colleagues in the art circle to watch Shen Yun. He added, “I have seen 'spiritual enlightenment' in Shen Yun’s performance.”
