TAIPEI, Taiwan—The fifth show of the Divine Performing Arts (DPA) on the evening of Friday, Feb. 28 concluded successfully. The exquisite dances, accompanied by high-tech 3-D backdrops of motion pictures and the delicate costume designs, filled KMT legislator Zhao Liyun with admiration. She said, “Divine Performing Arts was a unique visual feast!”

Ms. Zhao said the utilization of space on the stage was exceptional—the versatile 3-D motion-picture backdrops had blinded with the costume design very well. She commented, "All factors have blended so well.”

As a legislator, Ms. Zhao has to allocate most of her time to the Legislative Yuan. Yet, few know that Ms. Zhao has a passion for dance. In fact, she is one of the original founders of the Neo-Classic Dance Company in Taipei.

Commenting that every dancer in the DPA had been well trained, “My eyes are attracted by the body movements in every play. Especially the male dancing performers, their body movements are so sound and sturdy. I like that very much.”

After the first half of the show, Ms. Zhao said that she was very impressed by The Poet’s Vision, in which the staggering steps as well as movements of the drunken poet Li Bai gulping liquor and falling asleep were staged. She said, "I like The Poet’s Vision the most. In that play, Li Bai’s body movements are arranged so artfully that the dancing performer's superb quality and the choreographer’s extraordinary dedication can be easily seen.”

Ms. Zhao indicated that pious and divinely-inspired message that the performance tried to convey had the power of uplifting people towards compassion, and it would certainly affect the faithful.
