Gusto Ristorante e Bar Americano, the West Village Italian restaurant, closed on Jan. 1.
Gusto opened in 2006, and was headed by chef Jody Williams (Buvette), who left and was later replaced by Amanda Freitag, reported Grub Street. Freitag is currently chef and partner at Empire Diner in Chelsea.
