The Kennedy Assassination–60th Anniversary Special | Truth Over News
Today marks the 60th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. The assassination was not just a tragic event in American history. President Kennedy’s murder also marked the beginning of a period of growing distrust of the federal government, a process which is still playing out today—and perhaps more strongly than ever.
A brand new Gallup poll finds that a whopping two-thirds of the public rejects the theory that President Kennedy was killed by a lone gunman. In many ways, the Kennedy assassination has become a symbol of government corruption and cover-ups—it is ground zero for conspiracy theories. If the government can take out a president, it can do anything.
But was there really a conspiracy to kill President Kennedy? While a large majority may hold this belief, it is not supported by the facts. Sixty years after that fateful day in Dallas, every single piece of evidence still points to Lee Harvey Oswald, not only as the assassin, but also as the lone assassin.
