Israel Says Hamas Making Changes to Truce; Florida AG Moody Chosen to Fill Rubio’s Senate Seat

The cease-fire deal between Israel and the Hamas terrorist group seems to be up in the air again. Israel’s Cabinet was supposed to vote on the truce on Thursday, but the vote was delayed. A spokesperson for the Israeli government says that’s because Hamas now wants to change the deal.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has chosen Ashley Moody, the state’s attorney general, to replace Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) when he leaves office to become the next U.S. secretary of state.

More of Trump’s Cabinet nominees are on Capitol Hill for confirmation hearings on Thursday, including Scott Bessent, the nominee for Treasury secretary, Doug Burgum, Trump’s nominee to be secretary of the interior, Lee Zeldin, Trump’s EPA chief nominee, and Scott Turner, nominee to the head the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
