DHS Launches New ‘Self-Deportation’ App; Rubio Says USAID to Cancel 83 Percent of Programs
The Trump administration rolled out a new app on Monday that will allow illegal immigrants in the United States illegally to “self-deport” rather than face possible arrest and detention. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection app, called CBP Home, will offer an option for such individuals to signal their “intent to depart,” the agency said.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio has announced on social media that 83 percent of USAID programs will be canceled. Following a six-week review, Rubio said the retained programs will be administered by the Department of State.
Saudi Arabia will host talks on Tuesday between the United States and Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is in Saudi Arabia on Monday ahead of the talks. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio will lead the American team at the negotiations and meet with Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
