Trump Says Call With Zelenskyy Was ‘Very Good’; Fed Makes Interest Rate Decision

President Donald Trump said he discussed Russian and Ukrainian requests and needs for a peace deal in an hour-long call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wednesday. “Much of the discussion was based on the call made yesterday with President Putin in order to align both Russia and Ukraine in terms of their requests and needs,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.

The Federal Reserve held interest rates steady on Wednesday. A new policy statement and projections were released at 2 p.m. ET at the end of a two-day meeting focused on how the economic outlook has shifted since Trump’s Jan. 20 inauguration. Fed Chair Jerome Powell held a press conference immediately after the announcement.
