President Donald Trump says there will be no American troops on the ground in Ukraine. The statement comes after his talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and European leaders at the White House yesterday. According to the White House, Putin has promised a direct meeting with Zelenskyy in the coming weeks.

The United States is sending warships to the waters off Venezuela to combat drug trafficking. The Pentagon confirmed the deployment of three Aegis guided-missile destroyers and 4,000 U.S. service members to the region. In response, Venezuela’s Maduro regime says it has mobilized 4.5 million armed militia members.

The Hamas terrorist group has agreed to a cease-fire proposal and is awaiting Israel’s response. Meanwhile, Israel accuses the United Nations of relying on incomplete data to assess the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
