How to Boost Dating Confidence—Hypnotherapist
In 2022, three in 10 U.S. adults reported ever having used a dating app, compared to just more than one in 10 in 2013. Amid this rapid rise in online dating, the forging of lasting relationships could be lagging—with a record number of 40-year-olds in the United States never having been married, according to the Pew Research Center.
Is over-reliance on cyber liaisons undermining long-term bonds? Would a return to more face-to-face encounters lead to better results?
Jeffrey Rose, a New York-based hypnotherapist who helps clients overcome their fear of such encounters through hypnosis, says the modern relationship arena is daunting in that prospective partners have your “dossier” before they meet you.
“Right now, when you’re meeting people, you’re doing research on these people, you’re doing a Google search, going to LinkedIn, you’re looking at all their social media,” he says.
Rose, whose services also extend to weight loss, sleep improvement, and addiction recovery, joined “Vital Signs with Brendon Fallon” to share hypnotic tips on building dating confidence; this includes visualizing your dating success.
“I also have them … doing a future pacing, where they’re walking into that room, that club, that bar, that beach, initiating a conversation and connecting, getting that woman’s number and then going out on a date,” Rose says.
How do we ease the pain of past rejection, so as to go forth confidently into the relationship arena? How do we persuade the person we admire that we’re worth their attention?
On “Vital Signs,” Rose lends his decades of hypnotherapy experience to the matter of improving dating confidence.
He is the founder and director of the Advanced Hypnosis Center in Manhattan.
