CPDC Webinar Examines Trump–Xi Summit

Washington-based think tank the Committee on the Present Danger: China holds a webinar at 1 p.m. ET on Sept. 29 titled “Post-Mortem on the Summit: With ‘Friends’ Like Xi” to examine whether “accountability, not accommodation” accurately characterizes what happened at last week’s bilateral summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping and what was accomplished.

The webinar features views from the United States and Taiwan and examines the proposition that Xi may have gained a boost in stature as an equal of the U.S. president despite having little of substance to show for his visit.
