President Donald Trump welcomed Chinese leader Xi Jinping to the White House. The two leaders discussed a range of topics, including AI regulation, trade, and Taiwan, among other issues.

A call for Xi to release loved ones: The faces of eight prisoners of conscience in China were projected onto buildings in the heart of Washington.

A Chinese man threatened to shoot a Falun Gong practitioner dead as she protested outside the Chinese consulate in Toronto.

And, parts of the U.S. military’s top fighter jets ended up in Chinese hands.

Australia confirmed that the F-35 fighter jet parts it sent to the United States were diverted to Hong Kong. The Pentagon is investigating.
