An armed Japanese ship has entered the scene of tension between activists and whalers in the Antarctic Sea, according to the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.

Sea Shepherd said that it discovered a Japanese whaling refueling ship had dropped fuel into Antarctic waters.

The head of conservation group Sea Shepherd skipped bail in Germany and left the country Thursday.
