President Donald Trump said Friday that a deal with Ukraine is nearly finalized to grant the United States access to the country’s rareearthminerals in exchange for continued U.S. military aid.
By pursuing dominance at any cost—neglecting environmental sustainability, stifling competition, and alienating global partners—Beijing has jeopardized its advantage in rareearthminerals.
The sanctions came as Beijing widened export controls on rareearthminerals and opened an antitrust probe into U.S. tech giant Qualcomm, actions that prompted U.S. President Donald Trump to announce a 100 percent tariff on Chinese goods.

During his meeting with Starmer, Trump confirmed that he would be signing an agreement with Ukraine on Feb. 28 that would allow the United States access to the Eastern European country’s rareearthminerals.
