Melania Trump is making her on-screen return with a new two-part docuseries she says will offer viewers a more personal look at her life, work, and experiences as first lady.

Melania revealed the project during a recent appearance on “Fox & Friends,” describing the upcoming series as substantially different from the feature-length film released earlier this year.

“It will be very different,” placing greater emphasis on direct conversations and previously undisclosed material, Melania said during the interview on Sept. 23.

“It’s more conversation one-on-one with me,” she said. “There’s some private questions that I will answer that people never heard before, so it’s kind of exciting.”

“Melania,” the movie directed by Brett Ratner and produced by Amazon MGM Studios, focused largely on the 20 days preceding President Donald Trump’s second inauguration in January 2025.

It documented never-before-seen personal footage and moments including preparations for the transition, the first lady’s return to Washington, and the planning surrounding the inauguration.

Further, it explored Melania’s upbringing in Slovenia, her fashion choices and career in the industry, her diplomatic engagements, and her role as first lady as the family rose in the political sphere.

Her senior adviser and producer Marc Beckman has previously said the forthcoming docuseries would explore areas including Trump’s family, business activities, and philanthropic work. He also indicated that material filmed during production could be used to tell a different story in the series format.

The first lady did not provide an exact premiere date during her television appearance, but hinted that it is expected to be later this year, with November previously suggested as a possible release window. Additional details surrounding its distribution and final episode structure have not yet been publicly announced.

The new project comes after the success seen during the theatrical run and subsequent streaming release of “Melania.” Amazon MGM Studios said the film grossed nearly $20 million worldwide in theaters and became the studio’s largest documentary opening of the past decade, excluding music and concert films.

The docuseries announcement comes on the same day the first lady rang the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange, before delivering a keynote address at the IMPERIA Summit, a global business initiative and forum that she launched.

The gathering centered on the growing global economic influence of women, placing her alongside business and economic leaders as she discussed issues surrounding the role of women in the global economy.
