During his speech on the Senate floor on Wednesday, Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) fiercely criticized a new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) rule requiring financial institutions to collect and report certain personal information on small-business loan recipients, calling it “intrusive.”
