Here’s What Happened in the Trump White House When COVID Hit: Dr. Steven Hatfill | Florida Summit
Dr. Steven Hatfill, a seasoned expert in infectious diseases, was involved in the early days of the Trump administration trying to procure life-saving drugs like hydroxychloroquine for the entire nation.
“We didn’t have enough drugs. We didn’t have any masks. Everything was made overseas. It was a national security nightmare,” Dr. Hatfill said during the 2023 Florida Summit on COVID. His talk was about the emerging threats of deadly viruses.
“We’ve entered … the era of pandemics … Every year they’re jumping from animals. Something happened in 1995. We can trace it back to then. When we suddenly started getting all these influenza variants and it’s continued on,” Dr. Hatfill said.
