CENTCOM: Iranian Ballistic Missile Attacks ‘Dropped Drastically’; IEA Proposes Record Release of Strategic Stocks
The U.S. Central Command said on Wednesday that Iranian ballistic missile and drone attacks have “dropped drastically” since the opening phase of Operation Epic Fury. U.S. and Israeli officials say their strikes have severely damaged Iran’s missile and drone capabilities, as well as decapitating its leadership.
The International Energy Agency (IEA) recommends the release of 400 million barrels of oil, the largest such move in IEA history, to try to restrain soaring crude prices amid the U.S. and Israeli operations in the Middle East. Germany’s Economy Minister Katherina Reiche confirmed the 400 million barrel figure and said her country would participate in the release. The United States and Japan would be the largest contributors to the IEA release, she added.
