Trump to Host Saudi Crown Prince at White House; House to Vote on Epstein Files Release Today
President Donald Trump will host Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the White House on Tuesday, marking the crown prince’s first visit to the presidential residence in seven years. The White House said the visit will include bilateral meetings followed by a formal evening dinner. The crown prince’s working visit comes a day after Trump said he intends to approve the sale of advanced F-35 Lightning II stealth fighter jets to Saudi Arabia, a move that would significantly expand the kingdom’s military capabilities.
The House is expected to vote on legislation on Tuesday to force the Justice Department to publicly release its files on Jeffrey Epstein. Trump said on Monday that he would sign the bill if it passed both chambers of Congress, adding, “Let the Senate look at it.” A separate investigation conducted by the House Oversight Committee has released thousands of pages of emails and other documents from Epstein’s estate.
