Three people tested "presumptive positive" for the highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N1, the CDC said, citing the Colorado Department of Health. The CDC said that specimens were sent to the agency for confirmation.

The CDC promoted the paper online while encouraging people, even those who recovered from COVID-19, to get vaccinated.
"Get vaccinated as soon as possible," the CDC stated.
The CDC only publishes papers in its weekly digest, the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, after they're shaped to "comport with CDC policy." The papers are not peer-reviewed.
