Crown prosecutors say FreedomConvoy organizer Tamara Lich has breached her bail conditions by agreeing to attend a ceremony to receive a "Freedom Award" next month, and that she should be sent back to jail to await trial.

OTTAWA—Crown prosecutors say FreedomConvoy organizer Tamara Lich had an interaction with convoy spokesperson Tom Marazzo at a June 16 event in Toronto in violation of her bail conditions.

As a key FreedomConvoy organizer, Lich was first arrested on Feb. 17 and charged with counselling to commit mischief and obstructing police, among other charges.

The protest at the Coutts border was one of several blockades of Canada-U.S. border crossings, held in solidarity with the truckers' FreedomConvoy protest in Ottawa.
Van Huigenbos became involved in the demonstration near the Canada-U.S. border at Coutts in early 2022, which was sparked in solidarity with the FreedomConvoy in Ottawa opposing COVID-19 vaccine mandates and other pandemic restrictions.
“If the freezing of bank accounts during the freedomconvoy is any indication, we still can’t trust Parliament to never enact unconstitutional laws,” said the foundation's litigation director Christine Van Geyn.
"My primary concern is individuals or groups with potential to deliberately instigate conflict with the FreedomConvoy movement and to discredit the FreedomConvoy," the unnamed witness said in the affidavit.
The Public Order Emergency Commission is investigating use of the act to end the FreedomConvoy protest, which paralyzed downtown Ottawa for more than three weeks in the winter of 2022.
Carbert, Christopher Lysak, Jerry Morin, and Anthony Olienick, were all arrested during the FreedomConvoy protests on attempted murder charges in February 2022.
One communication said: “Pat King represents only himself, he does not represent the freedomconvoy.”

One is under the name The People’s Convoy, and another is under the name FreedomConvoy USA 2022.
Brian Brase, one of the core truckers organizing The People’s Convoy, told The Epoch Times that more routes will be released as the convoy moves.

It coincides with the anniversary of the beginning of "FreedomConvoy" protests on Saturday, with Shanahan quipping that there are no honking sounds ringing through Parliament like there were last year.
