LONDON—Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Gov. Gen. Mary Simon and astronaut Jeremy Hansen were among the Canadian dignitaries inside Westminster Abbey on Saturday morning to witness the coronation of King Charles III.

In response, Trudeau talked about the importance of “free and open” dialogue. "We will continue to look to work constructively together, but there will be things we will disagree on," Trudeau said.

Trudeau told reporters that the leaders' discussion on Beijing's growing threat in the Arctic region comes as part of their talks focused on security in the central Arctic Ocean.

Trudeau is also scheduled to meet President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in person for the first time since Russia began its invasion. Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland and Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly joined Trudeau on the trip.
