Karoline Leavitt, who served as White House press secretary, will join Fox News Media as an on-air contributor starting next month, Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott said on Oct. 5.

Leavitt, 29, will begin her new role on Nov. 1, providing commentary and analysis across the network’s shows.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to continue appearing on FOX News Channel as an official member of the extraordinary team at FOX News Media,” Leavitt said in a statement.

“I look forward to bringing my unique perspective from my experience as White House Press Secretary, along with the same energy and candor that defined my tenure, to Fox’s millions of viewers across their many platforms.”

In August, Leavitt stepped down as White House press secretary for President Donald Trump’s second administration. She was the youngest person to hold the position.

In a statement in August, Leavitt said it was too difficult to manage both her responsibilities as a mother, especially with a newborn, and her work at the White House.

As Trump’s chief spokesperson, she regularly held press briefings and responded to a wide range of domestic and foreign policy questions. She also oversaw major transformations in the press briefing room, expanding access to new media.

Before joining the White House, Leavitt served as national press secretary for Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign. She also ran as the Republican candidate for Congress in New Hampshire’s 1st District in 2022.

“Karoline’s firsthand experience in the White House and on the presidential campaign trail gives her a distinct understanding of today’s political landscape,” Scott said in the statement. “We look forward to her providing our audience with authentic and sharp insight across all FOX News Media platforms.”

In August, Trump announced Leavitt’s departure in a social media post, stating that she would continue to serve him as an “outside advisor.”

“Karoline has been a real leader in the White House, and has done a phenomenal job fighting for Justice, Liberty, and Freedom, since 2018, including our Historic Re-Election Campaign of 2024,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post on Aug. 12.

“Karoline has been one of the best White House Press Secretaries in the History of the Office.”
