It looks like Indy is back! Projected to hit theaters on July 19, 2019, the newest “Indiana Jones” film has yet to be titled.
In a statement released March 15, 2016, The Walt Disney Company has announced that there will be “a fifth epic adventure in the blockbuster series.”
Harrison Ford will yet again play the intrepid archaeologist Indiana Jones, as he has in the previous four of the series. Director Steven Spielberg is on-board as the director, with producers Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall.

“Raiders of the Lost Ark,” released in 1981, is listed as one of AFI’s 100 Greatest American Films of All Time. Along with 1984’s “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom,” 1989’s “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade,” and 2008’s “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull,” the films have racked “nearly $2 billion” in revenue worldwide.
Walt Disney Studios Chairman Alan Horn said that “Indiana Jones is one of the greatest heroes in cinematic history.”
If the new Indiana Jones movie has a young character explaining the Internet to Indy, I will kill myself.
