The California Highway Patrol said officers have rescued a chihuahua that led officers across the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge.

A clip of the rescue was uploaded by the CHP on Twitter and Facebook.

 

Missing a chihuahua? This little guy was on the Bay Bridge this morning. Pls contact if he’s yours.

“High speed pursuit on the Bay Bridge this morning! One in custody. All are safe!” the CHP joked on its Facebook page.

Officers are still looking for the owners of the dog, but for now, they are calling the animal Ponch, named after the classic character on the TV show, “CHIPS.”
