New details have emerged in the highly anticipated nuptials of pop singer Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, suggesting the possible venue of Madison Square Garden (MSG) may only be part of their extended celebrations.

According to TMZ, the marriage ceremony and the reception are expected to take place at separate locations, while the popular New York sports and entertainment arena has been at the center of extensive wedding preparations for weeks.

After speaking with celebrity memorabilia collector and invited wedding guest Anthony Jabin, the outlet now says the arena is slated to host the larger post-ceremony festivities, rather than the exchange of vows.

The New York Times reported an internal memo from the New York Police Department indicates that officials including the Metropolitan Transportation Authority Police Department and Amtrak police will be deployed at and around MSG starting on Thursday.

About 100 guests will be attending a rehearsal dinner at the Infosys Theater inside MSG, at around 6 p.m. this evening, with as many as 1,000 guests anticipated for the wedding ceremony in midtown Manhattan on Friday, according to the news outlet.

The exact location of the celebration has not been publicly confirmed, but in recent days delivery trucks, elaborate décor, catering supplies, and crews have been spotted transforming MSG into what appears to be preparation for an over-the-top event.

Since news of wedding plans surfaced, multiple reports have described strict privacy measures, including confidential invitations, non-disclosure agreements for guests, and closely guarded logistics designed to limit leaks ahead of the festivities.

Public records show that the city issued permits this week to close nearby streets, allow canopy or tent set-up at the arena, as well as allow the loading and unloading of theatrical materials at MSG.

In a recent social media post, Mayor Zohran Mamdani, further played into the rumors, alerting New Yorkers about a “historic” heat wave hitting the city and giving tips to stay cool—especially “if you’re (hypothetically) having your wedding at MSG this weekend.”

Swift and Kelce got engaged back in August, sharing the news in a joint Instagram post with a carousel of photos and the caption: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”

The photos show Kelce down on one knee proposing to Swift surrounded by pink and white roses in a garden, along with a close-up of her ring—an old mine-cut diamond in a gold bezel setting.

Neither the bride-to-be nor her groom has publicly commented on the reports, and representatives for the couple have not responded to a request for comment from The Epoch Times.
