Like most people, I sit at a desk all day. Sometimes I take a walk outside, but most of the time I’m glued to my computer. I know sitting too long can cause spider veins and poor circulation, but I don’t have much time to move around during the day, so when Uplift Desk sent a standing desk to our office, I was pretty excited to try it out.
Along with the desk, we received several accessories and unique seats that turned this into a totally personalized setup instead of just a desk that goes up and down.
UPLIFT V3 Standing Desk
The Uplift Desk go up and down smoothly, quickly, and without wobble. There are even memory buttons for you to save your own preset heights. You can also get the bluetooth adapter to connect and control your desk from your phone. Assembly is fairly easy, although the components are heavy.
We had a cheaper standing desk in the office before this one, and the difference was pretty obvious. The old desk was difficult to operate and shook whenever we adjusted the height. The Uplift desk feels much more stable and refined by comparison.

What makes it unique is how customizable it is. You can choose from different tabletop sizes as well as L-shaped and curved configurations.
The two cable grommets can be left plain or upgraded to have USB ports, power outlets, or storage for pens and pencils. Even the casters can be added or upgraded if you need a desk that can be rolled around.
You can also choose between materials like solid wood or a whiteboard surface in addition to the many accessories you can add on.

Add a water bottle holder, elevated platform, extended tray, locking drawer, cable management, headphone stand, or even a hammock for your feet. And if the desk is big enough, there’s even a hammock for YOU! No joke.

You Can Do More Than Just Stand
If you don’t want to put your legs up, just raise the desk and stand. But if even that sounds too boring, you can also stand on a balance board or walk on a walking pad.
The walking pad is heavy but easy to move around. It comes with a simple remote that lets you adjust the speed and incline while walking. I also like how the display cycles through different stats, and the countdown modes let you set goals based on time, distance, or calories.

Personally, I prefer the balance board. The bottom is round and convex so you can lean in any direction and either balance in the center or sway about. The board stop it from tipping over, so you can’t really fall off.

Is a Standing Desk Worth It?
Switching between working positions is perfect for active people, those who prefer standing, or a fidgety person like me. I’ve never been good at sitting still, so having the option to stand, balance, or walk while I work is surprisingly nice.
That being said, some of the accessories are definitely more fun than necessary, but the customization is what makes Uplift Desk unique and personal to each user’s needs. I didn’t start this review thinking I needed a standing desk, but now I’m convinced I need one at home too.
