Trump Speaks at Governors’ Working Session; Senate Passes $340 Billion Budget Resolution
President Donald Trump delivered remarks at the Governors Working Session in the White House State Dining Room on Friday. The president disclosed that he’d had better talks with Russia than with Ukraine.
White House national security adviser Mike Waltz said on Friday that he expects Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to sign a mineral agreement with the United States as part of efforts to end the war in Ukraine. He made the comments on the second day of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).
The Senate passed a bill early on Friday morning that forms a template for a plan to fund President Donald Trump’s immigration, energy, and defense policy initiatives. Trump, however, preferred a competing House of Representatives bill that would include trillions of dollars in tax cuts.
