Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Trade Representative Jamieson Greer will meet with their Chinese counterparts in Switzerland this weekend to hold high-level trade discussions. During a hearing before the House Appropriations Committee on Wednesday, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem highlighted the beginning of the REAL ID program and touted the plan as an effective tool to guarantee air travel safety. Travelers without REAL ID should still be set to fly, but Noem said individuals without the updated documentation should be prepared for extra screening.
