Politico, CNN, MS NOW to Sue Over White House Access; Zelenskyy to Meet With Trump in New York

Media outlets President Donald Trump recently banned from the White House said on Sept. 21 that they will sue the government over the ban.

“This morning, we notified the government that we are filing a lawsuit today to protect our First Amendment rights and defend the principle that the government does not decide what the press reports or publishes,” Politico, CNN, and MS NOW said in a joint statement.

In response, Trump posted on his social media platform Truth Social: “The White House is not instituting an assault on the Free Press, something which I cherish. It is instituting an assault on the FAKE NEWS, something that has grown like Cancer in our beloved United States of America.”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he had spoken with Trump and that the pair had agreed to a meeting in New York that “could change a lot.”

The Ukrainian leader announced the Sept. 21 meeting in an X post on Sunday evening, saying that he and Trump had held “an important conversation,” during which they “got through a lot.”
