Senators on Thursday morning will decide whether to hold Dr. Anthony Fauci in contempt of Congress, that’s after the fallout from his Senate appearance last week. That’s where he pleaded the 5th to avoid answering more than 100 questions. Contempt of Congress is a criminal charge that lawmakers can use if they deem someone as obstructing an ongoing investigation.
Thousands of supporters went to see President Trump speak at the Red Rock Casino on Wednesday, where he spoke on the economic success for his administration, pointing to record employment numbers, and a sweeping tax relief package. The president also pointed to a dramatic victory in the war on drugs, saying fentanyl coming in by sea has been slashed by nearly 97%.
President Trump weighed in on Fox News, on the latest nuclear talks with Iran, saying it is still unclear whether the latest talks will be successful. This as diplomacy with Tehran continues, alongside controversial claims over munition shortages, which Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt denied, calling the story fake news that was, “shopped to many outlets by someone clearly out to disparage the Secretary.”
