Vance: US Has Many Tools to Pressure Iran; FBI Updates ‘Most Wanted’ Fraudsters List | NTD Good Morning (Sept. 4)

U.S. Vice President Vance on Thursday said the United States has many tools in the president’s toolkit to pressure Iran to stop firing at vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.

Speaking at a White House press briefing, he said, “Part of the reason they’re tools in the toolkit is because the vice president hopefully is not dumb enough to stand up before all of you and a million Americans watching at home and say exactly what it is that we plan on doing,” he said.

He added that “everything that could happen is on the table,” including economic, military, diplomatic, and covert pressure.

“Obviously, we’re protecting a lot of ships, which is why we have not had a worldwide energy crisis,” he said.

The FBI has expanded its Most Wanted Fraudsters list, adding three fugitives accused of major fraud. FBI Director Kash Patel says the agency will continue targeting major fraud cases around the world.

Rescuers in Nepal pulled two workers alive from a hydropower tunnel on Friday as emergency teams continued an operation to reach others believed to be trapped inside, officials said. The two men were rescued from the Trishuli 3A tunnel nine days after floods devastated towns and swept away villages in Nepal on August 26.
