Netanyahu Heads to Washington; 3 Killed in Shooting at Seattle Food Festival | NTD Good Morning (July 27)

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is heading to Washington on Monday, where he’s set to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday. Among the issues the two will discuss is the Iran war. Before that meeting with Trump, Netanyahu will also attend the funeral services for Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.).

Three people are dead and four others injured after a shooting at Seattle’s annual Bite of Seattle food festival. Police say one suspect is in custody while investigators search for a second gunman. Two people died at the scene a third later died at a hospital. The annual Bite of Seattle festival has been held since 1982 and attracts about 350,000 attendees over three days.

Senators are continuing work on the 2027 fiscal year budget, with Senate Leader John Thune (R-S.D.) facing renewed pressure to take up the House-passed budget resolution, which includes elements of the SAVE America Act. Thune insists there’s not enough support to pass the SAVE America Act in the Senate, and says he won’t immediately take up the party-line bill unless funding negotiations with Democrats fall through.
