Trump Rallies for Montana Republicans; Federal Regulator Flags Political Bias in Banking | NTD Good Morning (Oct. 15)
President Donald Trump rallied supporters in Kalispell, Montana, on Wednesday, as he stumped for Republican House candidate Aaron Flint and Senate candidate Kurt Alme. The president also touted a major new military project for the state, saying that the Department of War will establish a new range for testing advanced weapons and technology. Trump also said more than $20 trillion in new investment has come into the United States in just 15 months, which he called the biggest in history.
A new report is scrutinizing the banking industry’s political bias in the treatment of customers.
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency said nine major banks maintained policies that could limit or deny services to customers based on their political, religious, or social views, or their involvement in lawful but controversial industries. The review covered the period from 2020 through September 2025 and examined nearly 100,000 complaints, along with tens of thousands of documents from the banks.
The Department of Health and Human Services reported that it flagged 189,000 Obamacare enrollments this year that either duplicated other government coverage or belonged to people who had died. HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said ending those subsidies prevents about $738 million in improper payments this year, and more than $1.5 billion a year.
