Trump Signs Deal with Greenland and Denmark; Trump Urges Action Against Narco-Terrorist Groups | NTD Good Morning (Sept. 23)

President Trump signed an agreement with the leaders of Denmark and Greenland on Tuesday at the U.N. summit in New York. This deal would expand U.S. military presence on the island, and allow the buildup of multiple U.S. military bases. This would work to prevent adversaries like Russia and China from gaining a strategic foothold there.

President Trump met with 14 Latin American and Caribbean nations in the Shield of the Americas, a coalition targeting narco-terrorism, calling on them to take strong action. A joint statement from participating governments says they intend to coordinate sanctions, asset freezes, visa restrictions and other measures against the groups.

Missouri’s congressional map is back at the Supreme Court, as challengers look to the justices to block the map for November’s midterm elections. A federal appeals court again ordered the map reinstated, despite two earlier SCOTUS orders. The map gives Republicans an additional seat and it’s the third time this month the dispute has reached the high court.
