Demonstrators Call for End to Persecution in China; Hurricane Polo Soaks Mexico’s Pacific Coast | NTD Good Morning (Sept. 25)

Demonstrators, including practitioners of the spiritual discipline Falun Gong, gathered across the nation’s capital to demand an end to religious oppression in China. Their demonstration coincides with President Donald Trump hosting Chinese leader Xi Jinping at the White House for a third day. Meanwhile, Congress has acknowledged the urgency of ending this persecution, taking steps to address it on a national and global scale.

Hurricane Polo is pounding Mexico’s Pacific coast with heavy rain and powerful waves. Mexican authorities have deployed 15,000 security personnel, opened shelters, and evacuated residents from high-risk areas. The National Hurricane Center warns Polo’s heavy rain could cause life-threatening flooding and landslides, with dangerous surf, rip currents, and coastal flooding also possible.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the U.N. General Assembly on Thursday, explaining that Israel has been involved in a seven-front war for the past three years. Netanyahu also spoke on the accomplishments of the Israel Defense Forces and said that “with our great American friends, we crushed Iran’s army, navy, air force, and nuclear facilities.”
